Baloney. Politics is about voting. Art is about colors, and shapes, and landscapes. And occasionally fruit.
When I'm creating art, I'm not thinking about the Governor. I'm not trying to impress the King. I'm not systematically carving depictions of some deity into a mountainside so that in thousands of years people might gaze upon it and convert.
I'm using my cellphone to take pictures and then turn them into prettier pictures.

Shut up. It's not that deep, bro. Not everyone is some boring, politics-obsessed nerd.
A lot of us just like pretty shapes and colors. Do you think Picasso was thinking about politics when he was painting Guernica? No, he was thinking about shapes. That's why it's called "cubism," dummy.
Same for Georgia O’Keeffe. I’m so tired of hearing about how her work is some exploration of “the divine feminine.” What even is that? They’re paintings of flowers.
